Getting Started at Coherence Is Straightforward
Reaching out to a clinical practice for the first time can feel like an important step, especially when a concern has been present for some time or when families are trying to understand what kind of support would be most helpful. At Coherence, the goal is to make that first point of contact as straightforward and comfortable as possible.
There is no commitment required when you reach out, no fee for the initial consultation call, and no expectation that you already know exactly what service you need. The first step is simply a conversation to better understand your situation and determine the most appropriate path forward.
All initial inquiries are handled by Chelsea, who coordinates scheduling and intake for both Jennifer Linton Reesman, PhD, ABPP and Korrie Allen, PsyD, ABSNP. Chelsea will respond to your email within one business day, gather some initial background information, and help determine the best next step, whether that is a free 15-minute consultation call, an intake appointment, or a brief clinical discussion to clarify which service may be the right fit.

- Evaluation or treatment begins. Your clinician reviews all available records before the first appointment. You won’t need to repeat your full history from the beginning at every step.

Choosing Between Jennifer Linton Reesman, PhD, ABPP and Korrie Allen, PsyD, ABSNP
For many families, the right clinician becomes clear based on the type of support being requested: neuropsychological evaluation with Jennifer Linton Reesman, PhD, ABPP, or therapy and behavioral support with Korrie Allen, PsyD, ABSNP. For families whose needs overlap both areas, or who are unsure where to begin, the intake process is designed to help identify the most appropriate starting point.
Chelsea helps guide families through this process by gathering information about the reason for reaching out, the questions they hope to answer, and the type of support that would be most helpful. Families do not need to determine the right service or clinician before making contact.
A few specific considerations may help clarify the process. Deaf and Hard of Hearing neuropsychological evaluations are provided by Jennifer Linton Reesman, PhD, ABPP. School-based consultation and IEP support are available through both clinicians. For other neuropsychological evaluation questions, Jennifer Linton Reesman, PhD, ABPP and Korrie Allen, PsyD, ABSNP can both provide assessment services, with recommendations guided by the clinical question, individual needs, and scheduling availability.

How we work
What to Expect in the First Two Weeks
The first two weeks at Coherence typically involve several important steps: an initial intake conversation, completion and return of intake forms, gathering any relevant records, and beginning the appropriate clinical process. For therapy services, this may include an intake appointment with Korrie Allen, PsyD, ABSNP. For neuropsychological evaluation, the process begins with the evaluation appointment with Jennifer Linton Reesman, PhD, ABPP or Korrie Allen, PsyD, ABSNP.
For neuropsychological evaluations, the written report and feedback session are typically completed within approximately two weeks of the evaluation appointment, allowing families to move from assessment to understanding and next steps in a timely way.
Families often appreciate having a clear sense of what happens next, even when there are natural pauses between steps in the process. Chelsea remains available throughout intake to answer questions, provide updates, and help families understand where they are in the process. From the first inquiry forward, the goal is for families to feel informed, supported, and confident about what comes next.
